How to Play Volleyball?
Volleyball is a sport played by two teams of six players. The heroes of the game in volleyball are the ball and the volleyball net. In volleyball, the goal is to send the ball over the net which divides the field into two equal areas and shoot ball into the opponent floor and score points. Players stand at certain places on the court. The distribution of players in the volleyball field is as follows. Three players stay close to the net and three players stand in the back position in a defensive position. A team can hit the ball three times in a row. Players are free to hit the ball with any part of their body. During a volleyball match, players play in a clockwise direction, constantly shifting. The team that sends the ball to the opposing team’s field in a way that they cannot return the ball or prevent it from hitting the floor wins the match.
Volleyball matches consist of a total of five sets. The first team to reach 25 points with at least two points gap wins. The fifth set is played out of 15 points.
Libero is a defensive player and can play anywhere in the defense. They cannot cross the front, block and serve. Defensive players’ uniforms are different in color from those of their teammates. Team coaches are free to give tactics to their teams from the courtside. They have the right to make six changes in each set. Only players playing in the front area can go to the block. The block must be made before the ball passes the net. The block cannot be counted as a score.

Volleyball courts are 18 meters x 9 meters in size. It is divided into two by a net in the middle of the field. This filet is called a net. Three meters from the net is the attack area.
The volleyball ball should have a circumference of 65 cm and a weight of 260 – 280 grams. Volleyball is a sport that can be played both indoors and outdoors. In volleyball, the 9×18 meter court is divided into two by a cross line and the teams use the court by changing places in each set. During the game, players cannot step on the opposing field that is outside of their area. The one third area on the right side of the back lines of the both fields are called as zone of serve. The service is sent from this area or beyond. In volleyball, three of the players in the area stand near the net and the other three in the background with backfield task. The volleyball match starts with the service of the rear right player of the serving team. Service can be done by hitting the ball with your hand, punch or arm. The opposing team has to send the ball to the court of the opposing team with a maximum of three shots that have passed over the net. After the service is sent, players must not hold the ball. It is also forbidden for the ball to touch the ground and to touch the ball with the lower part of their body for the players. If one team wins three straight sets, the game ends and the other two sets are not needed to be played. The set point is 25 and the last set is 15.
